We are delighted to announce that GEMA International Young Scientists Award is now open to accept Registrations!
This all-virtual event will feature the same celebration of young people’s creativity, world-class competition and global cultural exchange as previous years. The submissions this year will be through Recorded Video Uploads.
Understanding this, GEMA is organizing “International Young Scientist Award” through recorded video submission, with the aim to evolve the creativity among the students, the future leaders.

Categories
We have divided students into 4 groups
Students can choose any varied basic concepts or principal of Science, they can perform an experiment, conduct an activity or design a working model or a chart paper presentation which elucidates the principle that they have chosen. Science and its applications are way beyond the textbook experiments and class activities, so to boost the interest of students in science and help them learn the basics, GEMA’s Young Scientist Awards give opportunity to students to create simple and interesting experiments and observation projects, that enable them to understand varied basic concepts of Science.

(12 – 14 years old)

(15 – 16 years old)
Group Darwin
(17 – 19 years old)
The competition is open to teams in the following age groups and we welcome teams and groups not only from schools, but from community groups such as youth centres, the scouting movement, Girl guides, charitable organisations etc.
Group Newton(4 - 11 years old): This category is open to all young people aged 4 – 11 years old and entries can be made from primary schools or community groups.
Group Einstine(12 – 14 years old): This category is open to teams of young people who are in Key stage 3 of education.
Group Gallileo(15 – 16 years old): This category is open to teams of young people who are in Key stage 4 of education.
Group Darwin(17 – 19 years old): This category is open to teams of young people who are in Key stage 5 of education.
(Note: Last date of registration and submission is 31 October 2024 and Registration Fee is $20 for the same)
Guide For Representing The Video:
Teams will be asked to develop a new and innovative scientific solution to help achieve one of the United Nation’s Global Goals for Sustainable Development.
To enter, teams will be asked to create a 5-minute film that:
- Briefly outlines the goal they have selected
- Describes their innovative solution
- Explains the science behind their idea
- Illustrates how their idea would address the goal.
